About

In its operation, VAT “Heavers Plant” adheres to the principle of meeting the customers’ requirements by providing top quality products and technical support.

Our goal is to provide oil and gas industry and geologists with special materials that help to reduce the drilling costs and increase the well yield through efficient drilling in.

We are ready to cooperate with research organizations in development and production of new types of special materials that meet all the needs of drilling companies.

We are currently producing the following main special materials:

mud powder for drilling muds, well cements, lightened well cements, weighted well cements, heavers, barite heavers, iron-oxide heavers, molding and core sands, mineral binders, montmorillonite, clay bonds for iron-ore pellet production.

Mud powders

We produce two types of mud powders:

  • mud powders for drilling muds;
  • activated bentonitic powder molding clays.

The two types are the processed bentonitic clays dried and ground with or without chemical agents (soda ash, etc.).

The mud powders for drilling muds (TU U 320.00136751.032-99) are used for preparation of water base drilling muds in oil-well and gas-well drilling.

The molding clay (GOST 28177-89 and TU U 14.2-31399134-002:2007) is designed for foundry production as mineral binders in molding and core sands for preparation of steel, cast-iron, and non-ferrous metal alloy cast products and anti-penetration washes.

The bentonitic modified ball clay from Hryhoriv deposit (TU U 14.2-31399134-002:2007) is used as a bonding additive in iron-ore pellet production.

Granulated bentonite (under GOST 28177) is used for oil filtration and purification.

Special cements

Special cements are designed for oil-well and gas-well cementing, isolation of saliferous deposits at the moderate to high bottom-hole temperatures and formation pressure up to 600 atm.

Special cements are dried and ground one- and two-component mixtures with or without addition of cement.

The raw materials for special cement production are granulated blast-furnace slag, silica sand, agglomerated iron ore, rottenstone, and well cement.

We produce the following types of special well cements:

  • cements of SHPTSS-120 and SHPTSS-200 types — for oil-well and gas-well cementing in the range of elevated geostatic temperatures from 100 to 150°C (SHPTSS-120) and high geostatic temperatures from 150 to 200°C (SHPTSS-200);
  • weighted slag well cements of USHTS-120 and USHTS-200 types;
  • weighted well cements of TSTU 1-100 and TSTU 2-100 types;
  • lightened well cements of TSTO 1.5-100 type for moderate temperatures;
  • backfill of TSTPN type for cyclically varying temperatures.

All products are packed in the packages suitable for you:

  • 25-40 kg four- or five-layer paper bags;
  • up to 1,000 kg disposable containers of MKR-1.0 S (BIG BAG) type;
  • special tank cars for transportation of bulk cargo.

Looking forward to cooperation with you!
